Of course we still have to see ordinary dental problems and do fillings. These days we tend to prefer the white materials for mending teeth as they look more natural. However we still use old amalgam in about two exceptions, one when we are mending an old but still sound old amalgam filling and when the decay is just below the gum-line unless it is Cosmetic.
